Clover's older sister. Lotus has given up the glamorous celebrity lifestyle in favor of the cut-throat corporate world. Lotus is kind, beautiful, friendly… Like a fairy tale princess!
Lotus and her sister hail from France and have come to America for their father's work. The Vermillion mansion is located outside of the city in Winnetka Illinois. They also have a bigger mansion that they grew up in located in Paris.
Biography
[edit | edit source]Lotus Vermillion is a world-famous former supermodel, the oldest daughter of Arthur Vermillion, and the only sister of Clover. Lotus is kind, charismatic, sociable, and generous. She loves new experiences and is quite competitive and ambitious.
Before the start of the series she was a professional high-fashion model known for her unique style and outspoken but friendly attitude. She retired from modeling to become the heiress of her father's company, believing that doing so would protect Clover and allow her to choose her own future. Because Lotus made the decision without communicating with Clover, Clover believed Lotus sacrificed her own happiness for her sake. After Lotus is transformed into a Nightmare by Onyx, Clover unlocks the ability to transform into Amethyst Heart in order to save her. After the battle, the two of them reconcile and Lotus explained that she hopes to inspire other girls by showing them that anything is possible.[1]
Growing up she taught herself a variety of skills, such as cooking in order to have an upper hand against the other wealthy girls she was in pageants against. [2] She also taught herself how to style her own hair as she was one of the few black models and would often have trouble finding stylists who were confident with her hair texture.[3]
Lotus has a fondness for vintage aesthetics and retro anime, she's particularly fond of cute anthropomorphic animal characters and is a massive fan of Sherlock Hound.
Personality
[edit | edit source]Lotus is kind, charismatic, sociable, and generous. She's extremely ambitious and competitive, and likes to show off. She even taught herself how to cook in order to stand out from the other wealthy girls in pageants. As a model, she loves fashion and is always excited when given the opportunity to style someone else.
Despite her upbringing, she isn't elitist or stuck up, and is very welcoming and kind to all of Clover's new friends. But she can still be quite out of touch with reality and doesn't understand the experiences of common folk. She doesn't understand that there are different standards for poorer folks than there are for wealthy classes, and she has a tendency to value glitz and glamor over comfort and function.[3]

[edit | edit source]Lotus is great at hair-styling and cooking. She's quite athletic and great at sports as well.
Style and Appearance
[edit | edit source]Lotus is tall and thin, with smooth dark skin and dark hair styled in a wavy 1920s/1930s-esque bob. She has heavy lidded pink eyes and a beauty mark under her lips. She dresses in elegant and formal vintage attire and prefers soft, cool toned colors. She likes to wear additional extravagant accessories like stoles and jewels. She always wears high quality, beautiful shoes as a beautiful pair of shoes will lead her to incredible places.
